If Bethesda has given less information on any game than The Elder Scrolls 6, it’s Starfield. The outer space RPG was also revealed at E3 2018 and we still don’t know what platforms it’s releasing for or what the game even is. That could be changing soon though – the official website has been updated with a “Rating Description Pending” logo by the ESRB.
This could indicate that a reveal is coming up, though in how many months remains to be seen. If Bethesda follows its usual pattern for major reveals, then Starfield will receive a teaser trailer first, a grand reveal of its gameplay in an extended showcase, and then a release several months later. If that happens in June/July, then it could arrive in October/November.
How development has been affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic remains to be seen (especially since it caused Fallout 76’s Wastelanders update to be delayed). Bethesda could also reveal the game even later this year and release it in early 2021. Regardless, it seems we may not have to wait too long to learn more about it. Stay tuned for further updates in the meantime.
