Dragon Age The Veilguard accessibility options

After nearly a decade since the last game, BioWare’s Dragon Age franchise returns with Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Launching later this month, it offers numerous features, from an extensive character creator to multiple Specializations and build options. Of course, it also features a full suite of accessibility options.

In a new blog post, the developer reaffirmed the existence of multiple difficulty levels. It also introduced Keeper, which prioritizes party composition and equipment over “reaction times.” Then there’s Underdog, just below Nightmare, which requires “strategic planning and tactical decisions.” Unbound allows for total combat customization, with some settings including:

  • Aim Assist
  • Aim Snap
  • Combat Timing
  • Enemy Aggression
  • Enemy Damage
  • Enemy Health
  • Enemy Resistances
  • Enemy Vulnerability
  • Prevent Death

There are also some Exploration options like frequent auto-saving, glint distance and visibility for objects, waypoint visibility, pausing any time and more.

You can customize the UI and HUD (which can also be hidden or removed). Subtitle size, color, opacity and so on can be customized, while color filters and audio aids for incoming attacks are also included. Those who get motion sick can turn off Motion Blur completely, enable a Persistent Dot, and adjust the Camera Shake.

Controls-wise, controller and keyboard inputs are fully remappable, with options to customize input sensitivity and deadzones. You can also adjust held inputs to require a single tap.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches on October 31st for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It recently went gold.
