With Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda being officially approved by regulators, there will reportedly be an event on March 11th discussing future plans. The event has been rumored for some time now and VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb has offered an update on what exactly it entails. Speaking to sources familiar with plans, the focus will reportedly be on what Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect.

Several Bethesda titles are expected to arrive on the service soon and Microsoft will reportedly emphasize future titles from Zenimax-owned studios launching on Game Pass from day one. There are currently no plans to combine the two companies’ Summer showcases. While there are some announcements planned for the usual E3 month, both presentations will seemingly be separate (though they may happen back-to-back).

Grubb notes that projects like Starfield won’t be discussed though details on the sci-fi RPG will “likely” be coming this Summer. With regards to Bethesda titles launching on PS5, he noted that Thursday’s presentation may provide “a black-and-white answer, or it might keep things gray — especially if its plans are more nuanced and conditional from game to game.” There could also be no details on the same so keep that in mind.

As always, take this all with a grain of salt and stay tuned for an official announcement on the event in the coming days.
