Horizon: Zero Dawn

During SIGGRAPH 2015, an interesting time-lapse video for Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn was released which helped showcase the game’s day-night cycle along with the landscapes and volumetrics at play. It’s short but well worth a look.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is an open world action RPG developed exclusively for the PS4 and Guerrilla Games has made no bones about the epic nature of the game. While the jury is still out on its exact role-playing elements (which were revealed to fall somewhere between Assassin’s Creed and The Elder Scrolls), the developer has revealed that there will be no loading given that the game takes place in one giant area. There is also a very good variety of environments, ranging from jungles and forest regions to deserts along with a weather system.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is currently set to release in 2016 for the PS4. What are your thoughts on the time-lapse video? Let us know in the comments.
