Horizon Zero Dawn Performance Drops Are Fixed In The Final Version

You won't have to worry about slowdown in the final build.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

The performance drops in Horizon: Zero Dawn that a lot of people experienced and ran into in the game’s preview code will not be present in the final, Gold Master of the game, Guerrilla Games confirmed. This means that when you get your hands on the game on February 28, you should not run into any of the performance problems that a lot of outlets previewing the game did.

The fixes were, in fact, last minute, which explains why they weren’t present in the preview code, which was from, after all, a fairly late stage in the game’s development. The hope here is that Guerrilla Games tested the fixes out properly before finalizing the Gold Master build- it would suck if some unintended bugs and glitches had crept in because they had rushed the game to the Master version.

Horizon: Zero Dawn will launch on PS4 exclusively come February 28. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
