Not many would have anticipated that Nintendo would have a third Mario Party title ready for the Switch before the end of the console’s lifecycle, but that is indeed one of several games for players to look forward to in the console’s surprisingly packed final year. And ahead of it October release, Super Mario Party Jamboree has also been rated by the ESRB, which means the game has hit another major milestone on the road to launch.

Unsurprisingly, the game has been handed an E rating, with some details on its vast array of minigames revealed in a summary. It reads, “This is a collection of mini-games (party games) in which players compete to earn stars, coins, and rankings. As players engage in different modes (e.g., board game, rhythm games, puzzle-based games, flying games, mini-games), they encounter or participate in whimsical instances of fantasy violence: cartoony cannons/cannon turrets that shoot at giant characters; avoiding a robot with giant boxing gloves/fists; using over-sized hammers against each other; connecting electric circuits to zap a boss character. Damage is indicated by blinking, comical yelps, and/or dizzy star effects.”

Super Mario Party Jamboree will feature over 110 minigames across seven boards, of which five will be entirely new, with the other two being remakes of Mario Party 1 and minigames. The game will also feature a new 20-player online mode dubbed Koopathlon.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is due out October 17 for the Switch. It will require about 6.5 GB of storage space.
