Silent Hill 2 Remake Launch Preparations Are “Kicking off” – Creative Director

As the remake of one of the most universally beloved games of its time, Bloober Team and Konami’s upcoming Silent Hill 2 is going to have massive expectations to live up to, and with its October release drawing closer, the people behind the game are gearing up for the final pre-launch stretch. 

Taking to Twitter, Mateusz Lenart – creative director at Bloober Team – recently revealed that the final preparations for Silent Hill 2’s release are “kicking off”. As per Lenart, Bloober Team and Konami are currently in the process of “nail[ing] down the final plans before release”.

We’ll doubtless be seeing and hearing more about the game in the coming weeks, with marketing likely set to accelerate as the long-awaited survival horror remake approaches its release. With Gamescom later this month and Tokyo Game Show in September, there are multiple potential events where Konami could choose to showcase the game again.

Silent Hill 2 is due out on October 8 for PS5 and PC.
