Nintendo and Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles may ultimately have been highly successful, but it also had a very limited audience that it was selling to. A lot of this has to do with the fact that it got a very limited release on the Wii in 2011-12, when software sales for the system had all but died down; the re-release on Nintendo 3DS that ultimately came earlier this year was only for the New Nintendo 3DS systems, which also automatically limited its audience.

But now the game gets another crack at reaching out to a wide audience- it will be coming to the Nintendo eShop on Wii U in Europe, launching for €19.99/£17.99. Since the game was also compatible with Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro on the Wii, you can play it using the Wii U Gamepad, without having to tether up a Wiimote and Nunchuk to the system.

That’s not all, either- Those who purchase this game will be eligible for a £9.00 GBP discount on Xenoblade Chronicles X if they buy it on Nintendo eShop within two weeks of the game’s launch in December.

Now Nintendo of America just needs to confirm this for over here, and we’re set.
