Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have announced a sequel to the cult classic 2011 action title.

2011’s third person action hack and slash title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine might not have been a critical darling when it first came out, but the game’s become something of a cult hit over the years. As it turns out, it’s getting a sequel. The announcement developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment were teasing for The Game Awards 2021 turned out to be Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Players will once again “embody the superhuman skill and brutality of a Space Marine” and unleash an arsenal of deadly weapons and deadlier abilities on all manner of enemies. The reveal trailer focuses more on cinematics than gameplay, but it does capture the tone of the game pretty well, and fans of the Warhammer universe will probably be happy about what’s on display here. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A release date or window hasn’t been confirmed.
