The Last of Us Part 2

2020 has been quite the year, maybe one of the most significant and global changing ones we’ve had in decades. It almost feels fitting that it’s also been a year when some of the most anticipated games of all time hit, with one of the biggest being The Last of Us Part 2. As it will probably come to no real surprise, the game has also smashed records to become the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive ever.

As announced via the official PlayStation Twitter and blog, the game has sold a staggering 4 million copies as of June 21st, just 3 days after the initial release. It’s also worth note it is being described as ‘sold through,’ so this is not just shipped numbers but full sales. It’s not too surprising, with the game doing incredible numbers in the UK and Japan already, but there it is. Naughty Dog also took to their Twitter to tip their hat to fans in their own meme way as they have in the past.

The Last of Us Part 2 is available now on PlayStation 4. You can read our review of the game through here. Despite its strong sales, it’s been said that there is no DLC planned at this time.
