The video games industry is no stranger to titles looking stunning when revealed and later seeing graphical downgrades. Exceptions also exist though and Fntastic’s The Day Before aims to be one of them. The recently revealed survival MMO debuted with some exceptionally good-looking visuals and as per company founders Ed and Aisen Gotovtsev, the final version will be “much better.”

In a recent interview with GamingBolt, the duo was asked if the footage showcased was part of the actual game and whether the final product would look the same at launch. They replied, “We intend to take the survival MMO genre to a whole new level! We are constantly improving the game, including graphics and animations. Every week our team makes new breakthroughs in order to give players the highest quality game. So the final game will be much better.”

As is often the case though, time will tell. The Day Before takes place in a post-pandemic United States with players having to fend off other survivors and infected. You’ll need to scavenge for food, weapons and vehicles while seeking answers to the world’s current state. As one collects loot, they can happen upon a colony of survivors and sell it off while meeting other players.

The Day Before is currently in development for PC. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming days.
