Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone’s Stardew Valley is still as popular as ever. Having launched in 2016, the RPG/farming sim has been ported over to numerous platforms and even released on Android earlier this year. Barone is prepping for the next update, which is being referred to as the “everything” update, and discussed some of the new content coming.

Speaking to USGamer, Barone noted that the update 1.4 would add “depth” to the post-marriage life in-game. “The new 1.4 update does add some depth to post-marriage life… Some additions that I’m proud of and I hope are very heartwarming for players… but I know there will always be more that can be done.”

Barone also explained why he referred to the update as the “everything” update. “I’ve been unofficially calling 1.4 the ‘everything’ update because it touches pretty much every aspect of the game in some way or another. One of my major goals was to add in a lot of quality of life features that make the game more convenient and effortless to play.”

Update 1.3 is also “very close to being ready” for Xbox One so fans can finally get their hands on multiplayer. Barone is currently working with someone for supporting Stardew Valley. However, he’s also working alone on a new project that’s yet to be announced. It might be some time before we hear about it but update 1.4 for Stardew Valley should keep us busy till then. As always, stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
