Sega Reveals Alien: Isolation

The Alien game you always wanted.

Alien Isolation

After last year’s disastrous Aliens: Colonial Marines, Sega looks to be trying to make amends, as it has just revealed The Creative Assembly’s project with the license, Alien: Isolation.

It is described as a survival horror game, taking place fifteen years after the events in Alien, and it tries to evoke the spirit of Ridley Scott’s original masterpiece.

“In Alien: Isolation, we have taken the series back to the roots of Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie, the original survival horror,” said Alistair Hope, creative lead at Creative Assembly. “Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable. This is the Alien game fans of the series have always wanted.”

Of course, we heard lots of similar promised about Colonial Marines, and that turned out to be pretty underwhelming; moreover, coupled with The Creative Assembly’s own recently patchy track record, one isn’t necessarily filled with confidence at this announcement.

But we’ll see soon either way. The game is slated for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC later this year.
