Capcom has been one of several companies to be bringing its AAA console titles to iOS devices in recent months, but it’s continuing to go poorly for the company. Previous reports had suggested that the iOS ports of Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4’s remake had both flopped commercially, and it’s now being reported that Resident Evil 7 isn’t faring too much better.

In a recently published report, Mobilegamer.biz has claimed that, as per Appmagic estimates, Resident Evil 7 has seen just over 83,000 downloads since its release for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad devices with an M1 chip or later earlier this month.

In terms of revenue, the company is said to have generated just $28,140 from the game’s iOS port so far, which would indicate that it has sold under 2,000 full copies of the game have been sold on the platform (note: downloading Resident Evil 7 on iOS is free, following which aa full purchase of the game is required to play it in full).

Whether Capcom (and other companies that have tried their hand in this area) are going to continue releasing major AAA titles for mobile devices remains to be seen, but thus far, it doesn’t look like such releases have too much of a market on iOS platforms.
