Ever since Palworld launched for PC and Xbox in early access earlier in the year and turned into an overnight sensation, questions about when the open world survival title will make its way over to PlayStation have been asked frequently, and after some teasing in recent weeks that has suggested that an announcement might not be too far off, that announcement has been officially made.

As part of Sony’s recent State of Play presentation, developer Pocketpair announced that not only is Palworld coming to PS5, it’s out today itself. Check out the announcement trailer below, which offers a glimpse of the game and its core loop of collecting and training monsters known as Pals, and using their aid to expand your bases, while exploring the world and its many dangers.

Pocketpair is currently being sued by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company over patent infringements, though Pocketpair has said it’s currently unaware of what patents it’s accused of infringing, but that it intends to “ensure that indie game developers are not hindered or discouraged from pursuing their creative ideas”. Read more on that through here.

Palworld is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
