After a year and a half of incessant teasing, rumors, and speculation, Nintendo have finally unveiled the NX. But it’s not the NX anymore. It’s called the Nintendo Switch, and it is exactly what we all wanted it to be. The Nintendo Switch is a brand new system from Nintendo, which doubles as a home console and handheld hybrid. The concept apparently works seamlessly, as you in home console mode, the system comes with a traditional dual analog controller, while in portable mode, the console basically becomes a tablet.

Nintendo showed off the system in great detail in their unveiling, focusing on the core concepts, as well as some of the third party support on it- games such as Skyrim and NBA were shown, in addition to Nintendo’s own Mario Kart, Splatoon, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and a brand new Mario tease.

The Nintendo Switch was also confirmed, again, for a March 2017 release- and at this point, it can’t come soon enough.
