A new image of Hideo Kojima editing a new Death Stranding 2 trailer could potentially be hinting at an upcoming State of Play presentation.

We just recently got a new State of Play presentation, which brought new looks at Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2and more, though interestingly enough, it seems like another new presentation might be on the horizon.

Recently, @Kaizerkunun, Hideo Kojima’s personal assistant, uploaded an image of Kojima, and though it is, at first glance, an innocuous photo of him working on his computer, users on Reddit seem to have found something that seems to be hinting at an upcoming State of Play presentation.

That Kojima is editing a trailer is pretty clear to see in the image, and if you really zoom in on the file’s name at the top of the screen, it seems to read “State_of_Play” and “trailer_DS2”. It’s not exactly easy to make out, so it doesn’t serve as concrete evidence by any means, but that is certainly what the file’s name seems to be.

It has, of course, been a while since Death Stranding 2 was announced, and we haven’t seen it again since then. Might Sony and Kojima Productions be gearing up to unveil a new trailer at an upcoming State of Play presentation? Or is it perhaps likelier that the game shows up again at The Game Awards in December instead?
