Shortly after its recent gameplay debut, Mortal Kombat 1 now has a new gameplay showcase showing off the gory fighting game in all of its glory, all in 4K. Check out the gameplay below, courtesy of IGN.

The gameplay showcase shows off quite a few things that were revealed during Summer Game Fest earlier this week, giving us a look at some of the roster, and a great look at the ebb and flow of its gameplay.

Developer NetherRealm Studios gave us a good look at Mortal Kombat 1 earlier this week with a lengthy trailer that showed off the upcoming fighting game’s story mode, as well as giving us a glimpse at some of its roster.

The most interesting new mechanic in Mortal Kombat 1 is the Kameo system. Alongside picking your fighter at the beginning of a match, you also pick another fighter that will act as a supporting fighter. These supporting fights can then be summoned in the middle of a fight for quick assists, depending on what direction you press alongside the summon button.

Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on September 19. It is also slated to get a beta in August, which will be available for those who pre-order the game.
