NetherRealm Studios has announced that, as part of its Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1, Omni-Man from Invincible, Homelander from The Boys and Peacemaker from Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad will be joining the game. The three crossover characters will be part of the post-launch Kombat Pack, which also includes Quan-Chi, Ermac, and Takeda, true to previous leaks. Check out the trailer before.

As the trailer shows, the crossover characters are based quite largely on their live-action depiction, with Peacemaker bearing the likeness of John Cena, and Homelander being modeled off Anthony Starr’s depiction of the character in The Boys.

The fact that Homelander would be joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster in some capacity was confirmed by the official TikTok account for The Boys earlier this month, following previous leaks and rumours. Responding to a comment about the character coming to Call of Duty, the account posted a comment that simply said “MK confirmed”.

NetherRealm Studios also recently released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 that introduced us to the story and gameplay for characters Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka.

Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on September 19.
