Once Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda parent company of ZeniMax was completed earlier this year, there were some questions about how the two would handle their E3 showings come June, seeing as Bethesda has had its own separate conferences for a number of years running now.

Reports emerged not long afterward that the two would have a combined showcase, and that’s now been confirmed. Speaking with Le Figaro (via Reddit), Xbox Game Studios boss Matt Booty confirmed that Microsoft and Bethesda will have a joint conference in a few weeks, referring to E3 2021, which takes place from June 12 to June 15.

That does, of course, raise questions about the runtime of the whole show, and how much we can expect to see from Bethesda. There have been rumours of Wolfenstein 3 making an appearance, while recent reports have also suggested that Omen, Arkane’s next game, could be announced as well. Meanwhile, Starfield is also expected to show up, though if recent reports are to be believed, the game is not going to launch any time soon.
