In one of the more low-key announcements for a character, NetEase has confirmed that Psylocke will join the Marvel Rivals roster at launch. As revealed by Miller Ross on Twitter, the official Discord offered an early look at the character following a trivia event.

Based on her look and the trivia’s content, she’s based on Sai, a character from Peach Momoko’s Demon Days: X-Men. The alternate Earth features a Feudal Japan full of Yokai, with Sai embarking on adventures and meeting familiar characters like Logan and Hulkmaru.

While her abilities are unknown, the teaser does indicate teleportation and emerging from above with a diving slash. Perhaps a more detailed trailer will appear during this year’s Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 26th to 29th.

Marvel Rivals launches on December 6th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The free-to-play title will feature 25 characters at launch, all unlocked from the start, with post-launch additions to be available for free.
