EA’s upcoming Madden NFL game, the 25th title released by EA sports in what became its most important franchise back when it first released, capable of single handedly determining the fates of consoles and how they were perceived (see also: Dreamcast), is, after many years of almost complacent rehashing, getting some actual effort put into it this year. To see how good or bad it’s been going, we can now check out the demo for the upcoming title.

EA Sports has put the demo for the game on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, two weeks ahead of its August 27 release date. The demo showcases some of the new stuff in the game, such as the precision modifier; there are other skills tutorials they can check out, and they can get themselves a feel for the physics of this game with the over 30 new ball carrier moves that this demo includes. You are allowed to play as the Seahawks versus the Mariners, although you can also relive the Super Bowl matchup from last season.

Anyone who’s eagerly awaiting Madden NFL 25, and doesn’t want to play last year’s game, will find more than enough to quench their appetite in this surprisingly meaty demo, two weeks ahead of the game’s final release date.
