With Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2, Swedish developer Tarsier Studios has delivered two standout horror platformers over the last few years, and as a result, has built up quite a fan following for itself. Many are keenly waiting to see what the developer will release next, and it seems we’re going to find out soon enough.

That’s because Tarsier Studios seems to be teasing its next game. The developer recently took to Twitter and shared a brief clip that shows a tall, derelict building, followed by a lonesome car on a road, then finally a half-second glimpse at what looks like a many-limbed monstrosity perched on the top of the aforementioned structure. All of it is set to pretty foreboding music, and the tweet comes with a simple message, saying, “We’ve been busy.”

It’s very brief, but based on what it shows, it seems like the game is going to be quite different from Little Nightmares– though it’ll probably still very much be a horror experience.

As for when it could be announced, June is packed with plenty of showcases, including the Summer Game Fest Showcase, the PC Gaming Show, the Future Games Show, and the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. If Tarsier is indeed making an announcement soon, we might see it at one of those events.

Tarsier Studios was acquired by the Embracer Group in 2019. Last year, it was confirmed that the studio was working on a new IP, while Little Nightmares publisher and owner Bandai Namco confirmed that new titles in the horror IP would be made by other studios. Read more on that through here.
