Hogwarts Legacy

Leveling up in Hogwarts Legacy can be quite challenging as the game doesn’t provide many opportunities to increase your level through combat. Instead, the bulk of your XP will come from collecting objects and solving puzzles using magic. While there are dungeon enemies and dungeons to explore, they are relatively rare encounters.

This guide will provide you with various methods to quickly earn XP. So, let’s get started.

Fast Leveling Tips in Hogwarts Legacy

Grinding Challenges and Quests

  • Quests are a reliable method to farm XP, primarily during the early stages of the game.
  • Simply completing the main quests won’t suffice, as you’ll need to undertake a decent number of side quests to level up your character adequately for upcoming challenges.
  • Relying solely on XP gained from main quests is inadequate, as bosses will be significantly stronger if your character is not sufficiently leveled up.

Dueling Feats

On the lower right corner of your screen, you’ll find Dueling Feasts. These are optional objectives that provide bonus XP, making them a fast but an alternative method to earn additional XP, regardless.

It’s important to note that the maximum number of Talent Points you can earn is 36, so be sure to conduct some research before assigning them to the path of your preference.

How to Farm XP Fast in Hogwarts Legacy

  • To accumulate XP quickly, unlock the Battle Arena.
  • Travel to the far north and east of the Forbidden Forest to reach the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame.
  • Proceed northeast to find the Battle Arena. Destroy 20 pots scattered around the ruin to unlock it.
  • Most of the pots can be found along the interior and exterior of the wall.
  • Once the Arena is unlocked, battle enemy waves to earn XP.
  • The Arena comprises 7 waves, each more potent than the last.

How to prepare yourself for the Battle Arena?

  • Do not underestimate the battles in the Arena.
  • Ensure that you equip yourself with enough healing potions before entering.
  • Spatial awareness is crucial since there will be multiple foes.
  • Prioritize which enemies to attack first.
  • Strategically time your defensive spells to achieve victory.
  • Be prepared as a complete run may take up several minutes.

How much XP do you get from the Battle Arena?

  • The later waves in the Arena can provide a reward of approximately 150 XP.
  • Lowering the difficulty level is an option if you find it challenging to complete a run. There is no penalty for switching levels, so adjust it according to your skill level without hesitation.
  • You can increase your level from 13 to 15 by completing only two runs in the Arena, making it an incredibly efficient method compared to other options.

Another Leveling Technique other than the Battle Arena

Quests

Quests are your go-to option for farming XP, at least during the early levels. However, simply going through the main quests isn’t enough. You’ll also have to do a decent number of side quests in order to level up your character for the challenges that lie ahead, as the XP gained from the main quests isn’t enough. The bosses will always appear much stronger if you only rely on the main quest XP.
