Gamescom 2020 returns on August 25th to 29th, taking place in Cologne, Germany. The first exhibitors for the event have been confirmed in an official tweet. Among the console manufacturers, Microsoft and Nintendo will be attending. However, Sony isn’t currently listed.
The company could be confirmed for an appearance later but it would be strange if it ended up skipping altogether. Sony will be missing E3 for the second year for a row but it’s usually had a presence at Gamescom, which will be even more important this year when the PS5 releases. We’ll just have to wait and see over the coming months.
Other attendees include CD Projekt RED who will probably have Cyberpunk 2077 playable for attendees since it launches in September. Electronic Arts is confirmed and will likely have its latest FIFA title playable. Ubisoft, THQ Nordic, Bethesda, Bandai Namco and Kalypso Media are also confirmed.
