Frostpunk 2

As critical reviews go live, 11 bit studios’ Frostpunk 2 is now available early for Deluxe Edition owners. The launch trailer is also available, slowly deconstructing The City and its makeup over a timelapse while showcasing the many things that can go wrong. Check it out below.

Frostpunk 2 picks up 30 years after the first game. The Captain has passed, and you’re now The Steward of New London. While the Great Freeze remains a threat, the remnants of humanity have settled into their current way of life. Unfortunately, baser societal instincts emerge, and various factions are formed, each with their own ideas for how to run The City.

Players will manage entire districts this time around, with time measured in weeks. While ensuring the central generator remains fueled, they must also convene meetings with the factions, passing laws and earning their trust. Journeying into the frostland to establish colonies for resources is also important. Of course, every action has consequences, and a few wrong steps can lead to immense consequences.

Frostpunk 2 launches worldwide on September 20th for Standard Edition owners on PC (and PC Game Pass). It’s also coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5, though a release date has not been announced.
