Square Enix has kept its cards pretty close to its chest where Final Fantasy 16 is concerned, and new updates and showings for the game have only gathered momentum over the last few months. The highly anticipated RPG is, of course, set to launch later this year, and as we approach its release, it seems Square Enix is ready to well and truly kick the game’s marketing into gear.
As shared by @Genki_JPN on Twitter, it seems retail marketing for Final Fantasy 16 has kicked off in Japan. Banners and ads for the RPG have been spotted in Japanese stores, showing off key art and touting its June release.
Last month, Final Fantasy 16 was also rated by the ESRB, so all signs seem to be pointing at the game being on track for its intended launch date. Of course, fans will be hoping that the six months between now and release will also see Square Enix releasing plenty of other new details and gameplay showings, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Final Fantasy 16 is set to launch on June 22 for PS5. It will be exclusive to the console for at least 6 months, though producer Naoki Yoshida recently seemed to clamp down on reports of a PC version being in the works- read more on that through here.
