Final Fantasy 16

Final Fantasy fans have quite a lot to look forward to, with Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker due out later this year and Final Fantasy 16 also currently in the works. Both games, are of course, are being guided by producer Naoki Yoshida under different development teams, and Yoshida has assured fans that both will launch in the best state possible.

Speaking to Famitsu (via @aitaikimochi on Twitter), Yoshida said that his work on Final Fantasy 16 doesn’t mean he hasn’t been able to focus on the MMORPG Final Fantasy 14, and vice versa, and that if there are bugs in the latter, they’re not in there because of an oversight by himself, but because- well, because it’s a game, and of course it’s going to have bugs. Nonetheless, Yoshida also assures that the development teams of both games are working hard to ensure that both launch as complete and polished products.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker launches for PS5, PS4, and PC on November 23, while Final Fantasy 16in development exclusively for PS5, has no release date yet. Square Enix’s TGS schedule suggests that the publisher will at least be talking about the former soon, but with the PlayStation Showcase also approaching, there might be more surprises coming up.
