Fallout Shelter was one of the biggest surprises of E3 this year- the iOS game, which was announced, and then released, during Bethesda’s E3 press conference, is an addictive management free to play simulator for mobile devices, that lets you make build and manage a fallout shelter of your own. It’s stupidly addictive, and it helps that it has no abusive microtransactions whatsoever.

Which is what made it so sad that the game was locked out to over 85% of the smart devices market- so far, it is an iOS exclusive. An Android version was announced, but we have not known when it is coming so far.

So far. That changed today, when, in response to a fan’s question, Bethesda’s Peter Hines confirmed that fans should look forward to the Android version of Fallout Shelter ‘sometime next month.’

This is very good news, as this means that one of the best games of this year – seriously – will be available to play to the bulk of the mobile gaming population soon enough.
