BioWare’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard appeared during today’s State of Play, with extensive new gameplay centered on a new boss fight – Corius the Icetalon. The Veilguard works with the Grey Wardens to take it down, with Rook and two allies on the frontline. Check it out below.

The Mage is the focus here, utilizing long-range fire spells (which the Icetalon is weak to). By combining attacks and exploiting its weaknesses – alongside unleashing a powerful Ultimate attack – they overcome it. Unfortunately, when it seems they’ve gained the upper hand, one of the corrupt Elven gods appears to turn the tablets on the Grey Wardens. A second dragon that uses fire joining the fray alongside the Darkspawn doesn’t help either.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches on October 31st for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out more details on the core cast here. You can also learn more about their progression and skill trees here.
