Disco Elysium wasn’t a known quantity until not that long ago, but immediately upon launch, ZA/UM’s excellent RPG took the industry by storm, wowing one and all with its immaculate quality. The developer is going to capitalize on that success soon by releasing an even more fleshed out version of the game (and for more platforms) with Disco Elysium – The Final Cut. And it seems there’s more in store in the future for the property.

When asked about whether the developer has any future plans for the Disco Elysium property given how successful the game has been on both a critical and commercial level, though lead writer Helen Hindpere obviously did not go into the specifics, she did suggest that ZA/UM intends to dive deeper into the rich universe they have created with this game.

“The future holds more of Elysium – we’ve spent years designing the world and we’re not ready to leave yet,” said Hindpere. “Martinaise is just a slice of Revachol – and Revachol just a single capital among many others. Who knows where the future will take us?”

Disco Elysium is currently available for PC and Mac. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut launches for PC, Mac, PS4, PS5, and Stadia later this month (the release date is likely going to be announced very soon), while it will also be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch later this year.

Our full interview with Hindpere will be going live soon, so stay tuned for that.
