Horizon: Zero Dawn has Seamless Open World, Guerrilla’s Biggest Game “By Far”

Guerrila Games promises lots of stuff to do in the upcoming RPG.

Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst and game director Mathijs de Jonge revealed some new information about their upcoming PS4 exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn in a new live stream.

As it turns out, Horizon has been in development for 4.5 years and after the release of Killzone: Shadow Fall, the entire team’s resources were devoted to it. It sees you playing as Eloy, a machine hunter in a future set 1000 years after the apocalypse. Defeating the machines is your main objectives and you’ll be able to gather ammo, craft new weapons and more from resources gathered. The PS4 demo showcased at E3 is in the pre-alpha stage and the developer is working to make it the benchmark for visuals on PlayStation platforms.

Guerrilla also promises a seamless open world with a large variety of machines to conquer and is their biggest game “by far. There will be a lot of quests and the studio is hopeful that Horizon can become a “fantastic franchise”. More details have been promised for the future and there seems to be a lot that Guerrilla wants to showcase.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is slated to release in 2016.
