Horizon Zero Dawn Getting Delayed to Early 2017 – Rumour

Guerrilla's open world epic may not be out this year.

Take this with a grain of salt but Guerrilla Games’ open world action RPG Horizon: Zero Dawn may not be releasing this year.

This is according to industry insider shinobi602 who stated on Twitter that, “Well…Horizon: Zero Dawn‘s getting delayed to early 2017 from what I’m told. Going to look splendid on PS4k though.”

This doesn’t mean the game delayed because of the rumoured upgraded console though nor that it’ll look awful on the PS4. Clarifying the statement on NeoGAF, shinobi602 said, “Yikes, I suppose I’ll chime in since that was taken way farther than I thought. Honestly it was just a general comment, obviously the whole point of the 4k is better looking games, that’s all I meant.

“It was never meant as a ‘It’ll run like ass on the PS4’ chide. This is Guerrilla we’re talking about. Vast majority of this game’s development has been on the PS4. They’ve always done well in the performance department. I don’t think there’s a reason to fear for anything. Just to clarify.”

Regardless, the game still may be delayed. The jury is out though so stay tuned for more concrete announcements from Sony in the meantime.
