Guerrilla Game’ Horizon: Zero Dawn won’t be delayed again. Managing director Hermen Hulst has announced on Twitter that the open world action RPG has gone gold.
On Twitter, Hulst said that he was “so proud of team @guerrilla for embracing this bold new adventure with so much courage and resilience.”
“Gone gold” is essentially the term used for a game that’s wrapped up principle development and is now ready for launch. It will now be sent to disc manufacturers and going through the necessary steps for digital distribution.
Horizon: Zero Dawn takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a terrible event has wiped out most of the Earth’s population. Consequently, the world is now overrun by robots, specifically the large animal-kind. Protagonist Aloy is part of a tribe that hunts these robots but she seems to have some sort of connection to them.
What could it be? We’ll find out when Horizon: Zero Dawn releases on February 28th exclusively for PlayStation 4.
