Though there are some who’re none too pleased about the fact that Guerrilla Games’ stellar open world title Horizon: Zero Dawn is coming to PC, the vast majority of people are pumped about its recent announcement- which makes sense, given that this is one of the best games to have been released this entire decade.
It’s a particularly exciting prospect because this is exactly the sort of game that would flourish thanks to more powerful hardware. Horizon: Zero Dawn was already a visual beast when it came out on the PS4 in 2017, but on PC, it won’t be limited by weaker hardware, and will really be able to spread its technical wings.
One of the features that the game will have on PC is support for ultra-wide monitors. Over on Steam, Guerilla Games’ Community Manager Anne van der Zanden recently confirmed that the same, also stating that the first screenshot for the game that was uploaded on its Steam page was an ultra-wide one captured on PC. You can view it below.
In related news, following Horizon: Zero Dawn’s PC announcement, SIE Worldwide Studios head Hermen Hults (formerly the chief of Horizon developers Guerrilla Games) confirmed that in spite of the game coming to a different platform, Sony’s focus going into next-gen will still be on narrative-driven PlayStation exclusives.
