It’s been clear for about year now that Sony plans on bringing more and more of its first party PlayStation exclusives over to PC. Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone have already made their way over to the platform, and God of War and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are next. If all of that isn’t enough of an indication that Sony is taking its PC efforts seriously, there’s been another interesting development.
As reported by VGC, while Sony-released titles previously mentioned the PlayStation Mobile label as their publisher, they’ve recently been updated, and Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War all now mention PlayStation PC LLC as their publisher. According to Corporation Wiki, Sony has had PlayStation PC LLC officially registered since April of this year.
Earlier this year, Sony acquired PC port specialist Nixxes Software, and PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan confirmed shortly afterward that the studio would be helping with PC ports of PlayStation games in the future. Interestingly, however, the upcoming God of War PC port is being handled by Jetpack Interactive (who also seem to have done some work on its upcoming sequel, God of War: Ragnarok).
Some recent reports have also suggested that Sackboy: A Big Adventure could also be headed to PC. Read more on that through here.
