Call of Duty is by far the biggest gaming property that Microsoft now owns, so it was no surprise to see it kicking off the recent Xbox Games Showcase. The show started with a new trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, focusing on its single player campaign, showing its 90s setting, central Gulf War conflict, a number of familiar characters, and more. Check out the trailer below.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer also took to the stage to stress that, with Call of Duty now under Microsoft’s ownership, the series’ is no longer going to do exclusive content for any platform, which means it will be the same game with the same content on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and will also have its beta kicking off on all platforms simultaneously. Spencer also reiterated that the game will be available day one with Game Pass.
More details on Black Ops 6 will be arriving right after the end of the ongoing Xbox Games Showcase with a deep dive in a dedicated Direct presentation.
