The Creative Assembly’s Lead Designer Gary Napper recently spoke to GamingBolt about their upcoming first person survival horror title Alien: Isolation. When asked about the push for 1080p and 60 FPS on both the Xbox One and PS4, Napper also spoke about developing on the former’s eSRAM and whether it presented any challenges.

Regarding 1080p and 60 FPS, Napper said, “We are still in the final stages of development on the game so, so we’d definitely be aiming as high and as fast as we can.”

As for the challenges that the Xbox One’s eSRAM posed, Napper stated that, “We haven’t really had any version specific issues because we’ve developed the game as a central version first. I think mostly what we care about is the gameplay feeling right, that’s not costing anything depending on what platform. We are also making it for PS3 and Xbox 360, so we have to make sure that the previous-gen is still supported and it’s still the same essential core game there.”

Given how other developers have criticized eSRAM and faced limitations due to the same, Napper was asked if there were indeed no problems to be seen. “Not that I am aware, no (laughs). No I mean, I don’t wanna jinx it, but so far it’s been pretty good.”

This just goes to show that developers are finally settling down with the eSRAM issue. Alien: Isolation releases on October 7th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. For more on the game, check out our wiki here and stay tuned for more details.
