There are some really great FPS games that we can see on the horizon. As soon as the first quarter of the new year is done there’s a good chance you may seem some really big franchises hitting retail shores. All the major consoles are getting some great releases, some of them cross platform, others may be exclusives, but chances are there’s a little bit or something for any FPS fans that are out there. Everything from stealth action, zombie survival and giant robots are coming our way beginning this January.

Note: This list consists of non shooter games as well.

Titanfall:

Titanfall was originally announced as an Xbox One exclusive at E3. Soon after that though, it was announced that it’d be a timed exclusive and recently, developers Respawn Entertainment has announced that it will be releasing simultaneously on the PC. If you like first person shooters, and gigantic, fighting robots then you may be in for a real treat. Unlike other games that offer a similar robotic combat experience, like Mechwarrior Online or Hawken, you can actually get out of your massive, walking suit of armor whenever you want or need to.

The weapons that characters can use, in some cases should be able to knock down one of these monsters. Granted, these robots can shoot, smash or step on you like an ant, but at least there’s a fighting chance. Players who decide to not use their walking, 60 foot death machines also have an added agility advantage, since from what we’ve seen in videos there will be jet packs. If there’s one thing we can use more of in gaming, it’s jet packs and giant fighting robots.
